What is the Gamestop Military Discount?

They offer a 10% off military discount off on all new video games, accessories, all pre-owned games, hardware and accessories, and all collectibles.

This discount is for in-store only, with proper military ID. You can, however, verify online with ID.me. This new discount started on Veterans Day 2019 and will be valid all year long. It does not apply to sales, clearance or other promotional items.

About Gamestop

Gamestop began as Babbages in 1984 by James McCurry and Gary M. Kusin in Dallas, TX. They focused on video games and added Nintendo games in 1987.  They merged with Software Etc. to become NeoStar Retail Group in 1994.

In 1999, they launched GameStop with 30 stores in strip malls and launched Gamestop.com. Barnes and Noble purchased Babbages in late 1999. Barnes and Noble merged with Funco and in 2000 Funco became GameStop, Inc.

GameStop became independent in 2004 and acquired EB Games in 2005. They now have over 5,000 stores across 14 countries. Their global family includes GameStop, EB Games, Micromania, Game Informer Magazine, and ThinkGeek.

Their headquarters are in Grapevine, TX, and have a 10% military discount.
