About Holiday Valley Ski Resort
Holiday Valley Ski Resort was established by Nelson Pauly, John Fisher, and Bill Northrup. Back in 1938, the Ellicottville Ski Club was formed and people started to go to Ellicottville. People would ski and a rope tow was built. In 1956, Dick Congdon, John Fisher, and Bill Northrup decided to pursue their dream of opening a larger modern ski area which then opened in January of 1958. They now have 13 lifts, with 58 runs. They have three base lodges, two hotels, a golf course, pools, an aerial park, and more. In 1995, the Inn at Holiday Valley opened. Their headquarters are in Ellicottville, NY.
