About Hyundai
Chung Ju-Yung founded the Hyundai Engineering and Construction company in 1947. The Hyundai Motor Company was established in 1967 and its first model was the Cortina which was released in cooperation with Ford Motor Company in 1968. In 1975, the first South Korean car was released, and in 1982, they entered the British market. They came to the US in 1986 and in 1998 they overhauled their image.
