State Hunting and Fishing Licenses
Many states offer military-related discounts or special licenses for hunting and fishing. For example, in California, disabled veterans with a 50 percent plus service-connected disability can get reduced-fee hunting and fishing licenses (around $10) after pre-qualification.
Some states go a step further. Florida, for instance, offers a Military Gold Sportsman’s License to active-duty and retired service members stationed in or residing in Florida. The discount is not valid on boats, trailers, and other vehicles, as well as alcohol, gift cards, and non-merchandise services.
