Memorial Day is a time to honor all those who have served and lost their lives for our country. We take the day to think about the friends and family we have lost, pray for their loved ones, and remember their sacrifice. Many businesses often hold sales or offer discounts at this time as well. G4V, or Guitars for Veterans, offers veterans 10-weeks of music lessons and a free guitar in a program designed to offer music therapy for veterans suffering from PTSD.
Veteran Rapid Retraining and Employment Assistance (VRRAP)
The American Rescue Plan of 2021 was signed into law by President Biden on March 11th. In this law, there is $386 million for the Veterans Rapid Retraining Assistance Program. This new program will be able to offer up to 12 months of training and employment assistance for veterans who are unemployed to enter high-demand occupations.
