The Audubon Zoo is an American zoo in New Orleans, LA. It is a part of the Audubon Nature Institute, which also manages the Aquarium of the Americas and the Audubon Insectarium.

What is the Audubon Zoo discount for the military?

From November 10th – 12th, they’re offering free admission to military and veterans.

The discount is good at all 3 attractions: the Audubon Zoo, the Audubon Aquarium of the Americas, and the Audubon Insectarium.

This military discount is for:

  • Active Duty
  • National Guard
  • Reserve
  • Retired
  • Veterans

How do you get the discount?

You would show your military ID at the front gate.  The discount is offered only to qualifying individuals who must show military ID at the entrance to the park.  The offer is NOT valid for accompanying guests.

Can the Audubon Zoo in New Orleans military discount be used online?

No.  You will you need to show your military ID on entrance to the park.

About the Audubon Zoo in New Orleans

The Audubon Zoo in New Orleans is 58 acres and home to 2,000 animals. The zoo and park are named in honor of artist and naturalist John James Audubon. The zoo site has housed animal exhibits since the World Cotton Centennial 1884 Exhibition World’s Fair. The current zoo was not built until the early 20th century. During the Great Depression, a $4000,000 expansion of the zoo was conducted by the Works Progress Administration. It was expanded and refurbished in the 1970s. In 1990, they opened the Aquarium of the Americas.
