Planning a Trip to an Amusement Park This Year? Take a Look at These Everyday Military Discounts

There are some amusement parks that offer free days for the military during certain days of the year, such as the 4th of July. However, visiting on those days doesn’t always work out. Luckily you can find many amusement parks with military discounts every day of the year. Here are quite a few of them:

Carowinds

Carowinds is a 407-acre amusement park in Charlotte, NC owned by Cedar Fair. They opened in 1973 and active duty military and retirees can get free and discounted tickets using ID.me.

Cedar Point 

Cedar Point is a 364-acre park in Sandusky, OH that opened in 1870. It is the second oldest amusement park in North America. The park offers free and discounted tickets for military members and retirees. You can also purchase up to six tickets for your family and friends. Verify using ID.me.

Disneyland and Walt Disney World

Both Disneyland in Anaheim, CA, and Walt Disney World in Orlando, FL offer Disney Military Promotional Park Hopper Tickets. You can get 3 or 4 days at Disneyland or 4 or 5 days at Walt Disney World. At both Disneyland and Walt Disney World you can find rides, entertainment, and a magical themed experience. You will need to purchase the tickets at your local military travel office.

Dollywood

Dollywood is located in Pigeon Forge, TN near Gatlinburg and owned by Herschend Family Entertainment and Dolly Parton. The park offers amusement park thrill rides, traditional crafts, food, and music. You can get special military tickets, between 1-3 days, with ID.me.

Hershey Park

Hershey Park is a 121-acre amusement park located in Hershey, PA. It was opened in 1906 as a leisure park for the employees of the Hershey Chocolate Company. They have savings on tickets for members of the military such as their current offer where you can save with ID.me. Discounts may be offered on a seasonal basis.

Holiday World and Splashin’ Safari

Holiday World is located in Santa Claus, IN, and opened in 1946 as Santa Claus Land. At the 125-acre park, you can find rides, live entertainment, and games with a holiday theme. With their military discount, you can save $20 on tickets.

Sea World

You can find SeaWorld in Orlando, San Antonio, and San Diego. These locations participate in the Waves of Honor program, which is four free tickets per service member each year, one for the service member, and three for direct dependents. They also offer discount tickets to veterans. Within the Waves of Honor program, you can also get free or discounted tickets to Busch Gardens, Sesame Place, Aquatica, and Discovery Cove. You would need to get your tickets and be verified with GovX.

Six Flags

There are 27 Six Flags properties across the US, Canada, and Mexico. Six Flags Magic Mountain, Six Flags Fiesta Texas, and Six Flags Great Adventure are some of the biggest of the parks. Most of them do have some type of everyday military discount. Just make sure you check on that particular Six Flag’s website before you plan your visit.

Universal Studios

There is a Universal Studios in Orlando and another one in Hollywood and they both offer discounted tickets to members of the military. At Universal Studios Orlando you can get the 2023 Military Freedom Pass Promotional Ticket.  At Universal Studios Hollywood you can get discounted tickets. For both you may need to buy them at your local military travel office.
