About Hello Fresh
HelloFresh was founded in 2011 by Dominik Richter, Thomas Griesel, and Jessica Nilsson in Berlin, Germany. They started delivering meal kits in 2012 and expanded to the United States, the UK, Australia, and the Netherlands. HellorFresh acquired Green Chef and the Canadian-based company, Chef’s Plate in 2018. They also created a more affordable meal kit service called EveryPlate in 2018. The main differences between EveryPlate and HelloFresh are the cost and EveryPlate’s ingredients are not sorted by meal and are simpler meals overall. They also acquired Factor in 2020. With HelloFresh you receive ingredients that are needed for each meal, then cook using the included recipes. They now operate in the US, Germany, other countries in Europe, Australia, Canada, and New Zealand. Their headquarters are in Berlin, Germany.
