Home Chef was started in 2013 by Patrick Vihtelic. In 2017, Home Chef started selling their products through Walmart. In 2018, Kroger bought Home Chef and you can now find their products in their stores. In 2019, they launched another service called Fresh and Easy. Their headquarters are in Chicago, IL.
