About Hyatt Hotels
The first Hyatt House was a motel near LAX airport that opened in 1954. Opened by Hyatt Robert von Dehn and Jack Dyer Crouch.
In 1957, Jay Protzker purchased the company and within two years they opened Hyatt House motels near the San Francisco International Airport and the Seattle-Tacoma International Airport. Over the next decade they became one of the fastest growing hotel chains in the United States.
In 1969, they opened their first international hotel in Hong Kong, and in 2013 they introduced their first all-inclusive resort brands, Ziva and Hyatt Zilara.
Hyatt Hotels has 1,100+ hotels in 69 countries across six continents. Their headquarters are in Chicago, Illinois. They offer a government rate.
