Military Ski Pass Discounts
Vail Resorts Military Epic Pass
Vail Resorts offers a Military Epic Pass at 40 different ski resorts, including, Vail, Beaver Creek, Breckenridge, Keystone, Heavenly, Okemo Mountain, Park City, and more.
The regular cost of the Epic Pass is $879 for adults, 13+, and $448 for children ages 5-12. The Epic Military Pass is $155 for active duty, active duty dependents, retired military, and retired dependents. Veterans can also get an Epic Military Pass for $499 for those ages 18+, and $268 for those ages 5-17.

Big Bear Lake, California

China Peak Mountain Resort Military Ski Pass
Lakeshore, California
Retired and veteran military personnel are offered one discounted all day lift ticket per day. Active military can purchase a discounted all day lift ticket per day for their use only, use current military ID at the time of in-person purchase.
Crystal Mountain Military Ski Pass (WA)
Enumclaw, Washington
Crystal Mountain Washington offers a 20% discount on midweek tickets. Discounts applies to first responders, active and retired military, medical workers, and teachers. To receive the discount you must follow these steps.
Deer Valley Utah Military Ski Pass
Park City, Utah
Deer Valley Utah offers military discounts on daily lift passes. Discounts may vary depending on the season, present military ID at purchase time. This pass may also available to spouses and dependents with valid military ID.
Diamond Peak Ski Resort Military Pass
Incline Village, NV
Active Duty U.S. Military receive a free lift ticket midweek/non-peak with valid military ID and $20 off on weekends and peak periods. Retired military and dependents receive $20 off. Visit the Guest Services window with ID.
Dodge Ridge Military Ski Pass
Pinecrest, California
At this resort, active duty military are offered a military discount. The amount varies depending on time of the season, demand, and other variables. At press time there is a space on the official site noting a military discount, but the amount was listed as “TBD.”
Grand Targhee Resort Military Ski Pass
Alta, Wyoming
At this resort, you can find a discount on lift tickets for military members. The discount is for a full-day lift ticket at 30% off.
Killington Military Express Ski Pass Discount
Killington, Vermont
At this resort, active duty, retired military, and those who have been honorably discharged are eligible for discounts which vary depending on the time of the season. According to the official site, “All Active Duty, Retired, and Honorably Discharged members of the U.S. Military are eligible for discounted lift tickets to Killington Resort. You’ll be required to verify your military status through SheerID during checkout” adding that Killington lift tickets are also honored at Pico Mountain.
Mad River Glen
Waitsfield, VT
Active-duty, retired military and veterans may qualify for discounts and free mid-week lift tickets when purchased online in advance.
This program is for Vermont National Guard Service members, Army, Navy, Air Force, Marines, Coast Guard and Department of Homeland Security personnel who have been or could be deployed.

Just 25 minutes away lies the gem of Vermont, the Ben & Jerry’s Ice Cream Factory. With tons of extra local flavors and a factory tour with free ice cream at the end, you will not want to miss this.
Monarch Mountain Military Ski Pass
Salida, Colorado
At this resort, active duty, dependents, retired military, and the reserves qualify for a discounted season pass. With the pass, you can receive unlimited skiing/riding every day as well as many other perks and discounts. For one-day tickets, you can show your military ID and get a buddy pass ticket. Tickets must be purchased in person.
Mt. Shasta Ski Park Military Lift Tickets
Northern California
At this ski park, you can get a $50 lift ticket any day of the week with a military ID. For active and retired military, not family members.
Sierra at Tahoe Military Discount
Twin Bridges, California
At this resort, they offer free skiing or riding on Sundays to active duty military. Sow your military ID at the ticket office. You can get one ticket per person per day, excluding peak dates.
Snowshoe Mountain Military Discount Ski Pass
Snowshow, West Virginia
For a military discount, you can get 25% off of value and midweek tickets, and 10% off of weekend and holiday tickets. Additionally, they offer a discounted Season Pass for the Military and a 10% discount on lodging.
Palisades Tahoe Military Discount for Military and Veterans
Lake Tahoe, California
They offer a discount on tickets, but they must be ordered by phone or in person. At press time, the discount is 30% off the going rate and applies to active duty, veterans, and dependents.
Sugarloaf Mountain Military Discount Ski Pass
Carrabassett Valley, Maine
Military members and dependents are offered military ski discounts up to 20% off of midweek, non-holiday lift tickets, and 10% off weekend/holiday tickets. Purchase at the ticket window with valid military ID to receive the discount. Some blackout dates apply, typically the last 10 days in December and for multiple days mid-January and mid-February.
Sunday River Military Ski Pass
Sunday River in Maine is one of the most popular ski resorts in the state. Sunday River features a 10% military discount for weekends and holidays. There’s also a 20% discount on midweek, non-holiday lift tickets to all Active Duty, Reserve, National Guard, and Retired Service Personnel. Purchases must be made in person at any ticket window.
Discounts are valid for military personnel plus up to four immediate family members (defined as spouses and children) on the purchase of one-day, full-price lift tickets. Military ID is required at arrival.
Sunday River Local Tip
Check out Sud’s Pub in Bethel, the local hangout spot. You might even get the chance to catch open mic night, a tradition dating back to the late 80s.
Sun Valley Idaho Military Ski Pass
Sun Valley Idaho offers multiple military discounts, which include the Freedom Found or 15 Day Plus Season Pass for 50% off. According to the official site, the Freedom Found Pass “gives unrestricted skiing/riding at Bald Mountain and Dollar Mountain from opening day through 12/13/2024 and from 3/17/2025 through closing day, and up to 15 days from 12/14/2024 through 3/16/2025.”
There is also a discounted 15 Day Plus Pass good for up to 15 days of skiing and riding on Bald and Dollar Mountains with no blackout dates or restrictions. Purchase in person or by phone, present military ID at checkout time.
Sun Valley Local Tip
The Gold Mine is a local thrift store with hidden treasures from lightly used skis to top of the line fashion statement pieces. Open only from 10:00-17:30, it’s a great place to spend the day when your legs need a break from the mountain.
Taos Ski Valley
Taos, New Mexico
At this resort, they offer a discount on passes for the military. Buy online and be verified with ID.me. Taos Ski Valley NM was ranked number 4 on Ski Magazine’s top 30 places to ski in the west for the 2020-2021 season. Discounted day passes may available for purchase at the ticket window with a valid military ID. With 300” of average annual snowfall, New Mexico should be on your horizon.
Local Tip for Taos Ski Valley
Catch a sunrise Hot Air Balloon trip across the Rio Grande. Depending on the weather, the tour may be able to dip just above the Rio Grande to witness wildlife and other perspectives you may not see on land. With breathtaking views all year round, it is not an excursion you want to miss.
White Face Mountain Military Ski Pass
Wilmington, New York
Locally known as Ice Face, White Face Mountain is located in the heart of the Adirondack State Park. Claiming to be the better of the “whites” in the east with 190 inches of average snowfall annually they are hard to compete with. Active duty military members receive 50% off one-day lift tickets mid-week and nonholiday days and 25% off holidays and weekends.

Check out Lake Placid, the host of the 1932 and 1980 winter Olympics. With different night activities, you’re able to keep the kids busy après ski.
Whitefish Montana Mountain Resort Military Discount
Whitefish, Montana
The Whitefish Montana military ski pass offer is 50% off daily lift passes to all active, reserve, and retired military members and their dependents. They also offer 50% off certain services such as winter equipment and group rentals. There may be some blackout dates for those services but the daily lift pass discount is always available. All discounts require military ID present at the time of purchase.
Winterplace Ski Resort Military Pass
Flat Top, West Virginia
Winterplace offers a discount on all standard lifts, rentals, and lodging (see details and restrictions on their website). Discount only valid for lift, and rental purchased on site and based on availability. You will need to call for the discount. If pre-purchasing online, the discount does not apply.
Military and Veteran Discounts on Your Ski Gear
Big 5
At Big 5, you can find sleds, snow play gear, and other clothing. They offer a 10% military discount. The discount is for active duty, reserve military, retirees, veterans, their spouses, and dependents. Show a valid ID or veteran status on your driver’s license. The discount is for in-store purchases only.
Jskis
At Jskis you can get skis, bindings, gear, and clothing. They have a 10% military discount. It can’t be combined with other discounts or promotions. Claim this discount by completing an online form.
ON3P
At ON3P you can find skis, gear, and more. They offer a 10% military discount to active duty personnel and veterans. Fill out a form on their website to claim your discount.
