What is the discount for military?
They offer a complimentary Total Experience or a limited admission ticket for active duty and veterans. They also offer 50% for up to three guests. Advanced ticket reservations are required.

How do you get the discount?
You would book your tickets online, using a code. You must also show your military ID at the zoo and the military member must be present.

About the Bronx Zoo Military
The zoo started in 1898 when the city of New York allotted 250 acres of Bronx Park to the New York Zoological Society to build a park aimed at preserving native animals and promoting zoology. They opened in 1899, and the zoo is now 265 acres, housing 4,000 animals with more than 650 species. In 1916, the zoo built the world’s first animal hospital located at a zoo. They have free exhibits included with your general admission as well as premium exhibits that cost an extra fee. They offer complimentary tickets to active duty and veterans.
