The San Diego Zoo is a zoo in Balboa Park in San Diego, CA. They offer free tickets to the zoo for the service member.
What is the discount?
Active duty with valid military ID can receive a complimentary ticket to the zoo. Military spouses and eligible dependents receive a 10% military discount off the 1-day pass. Retirees and veterans can get discounts through MWR, not at the park.
Who’s Eligible?
This military discount is for members of the military including the reserves.
How do you get the discount?
You would show your military ID at the park.

About the San Diego Zoo
The San Diego Zoo grew out of exotic animal exhibitions that were abandoned after the Panama-California Exposition. A permanent tract of land was set aside in Balboa Park in 1921 and the zoo moved to that location the following year. The zoo was a pioneer in the building of “cageless” exhibits. There are more than 3,500 animals and more than 650 species and subspecies at the San Diego Zoo.
