Universal Studios Hollywood has one park. The park has a working movie studio as well as many different rides, shows, and attractions. There are a couple of options when it comes to the Universal Studios Hollywood Military Discount.
How to Get the Universal Studios Hollywood Military Discount
For the best deal on tickets, you must have access to a military installation and purchase them there. You can not purchase these tickets at the gate.
You can get these specially priced tickets at your local military travel office and can contact the Military Ticket Program at 901-874-6891 to find your nearest office.
If you do not buy these tickets ahead of time, you can still receive a small discount of $3 off your tickets.

Who’s Eligible For the Discount?
Both discounts are available to:
- Active Duty
- Retirees
- 100% disabled veterans
- Medal of Honor Recipients
- Active Guard and Reserves
- Spouses and Dependent ID card holders of the above categories (or DOD NAF/GS employee, “if applicable”).
A valid military ID or US Government ID is required for purchase.
Universal Studios Orlando Military Discount
Universal Studios Orlando is different than what you find in Hollywood. For one thing, there are three parks, not just one.
The first park is Universal Studios Florida. This park features a real working film and tv studio, rides, shows, and attractions.
Universal’s Islands of Adventure is stepping into the greatest myths, legends, cartoons, comic books, children’s tales, and movies ever created.
Universal’s Volcano Bay is a water theme park where thrills and relaxation flow in perfect harmony.
How To Get the Universal Studios Orlando Military Discount
You will need to buy your discount tickets at your local military ticket office and there are several options in what you can buy.
What Military Discounts Are Available?
2023 Military Freedom Pass – This will give you a promotional ticket to use from November 11, 2021-December 31, 2022. There are no blackout dates. You will need to purchase by December 27th. You can choose between a 2 or 3-park option.
The 2-park ticket is for Universal Studios Florida and Universal’s Islands of Adventure on the same day. The 3-park ticket is for those two parks as well as Universal’s Volcano Bay, which is closed from November through February.
These packages start at $199 per person.
You have to buy your tickets at your authorized military ticket and ticket office. Here is a list of locations.
Other Special Package Offers For Military
They also offer specific vacation packages such as the Military Create Your Own package, starting at $89 per person, per night, based on a family of four. This includes the hotel of your choice and customizing your theme park admission.
They also have The Wizarding World of Harry Potter Package for $85 a night.
In addition, they offer a 40% discount at Universal’s Cabana Bay Beach Resort and 30% off of other Universal hotels.

You will need to show your military ID at the gate to activate your tickets. There are also other options to save money available at your travel or MWR office.
