REMOTE Act for GI Bill Extends Student Veteran Protection

Congress passed the REMOTE Act at the end of Dec 2021. This act extended provisions of the Student Veteran Coronavirus Response Act of 2020 until June 1, 2022. The Student Veteran Protection Act ensured that student veterans would be paid the GI Bill BAH portions in-full, even if the classes were taught remotely. Learn more.

VOC REHAB Mission Realigned By VA With Name Change

The VA is renaming the VR&E program from Vocational Rehabilitation (VOC REHAB) and Employment Service to Veteran Readiness and Employment Service. The program formerly known casually as VOC REHAB, will change its name to better align with its mission. The new name puts emphasis on mission of helping veterans reach their employment goals with less stigma associated with the name of the program.
