About Budget Rent-A-Car
Budget Rent-A-Car was founded in 1958 in Los Angeles, CA with an original fleet of 10 cars. In 1960, after expanding internationally, they expanded with franchises and wholly-owned rental outlets. They were acquired by Transamerica Corporation, and later in 1997, by Team Rental Group which took the name, Budget Group. In 2002, they were bought by the Cendant Corporation who also owned Avis, and later became the Avis Budget Group. They have over 1,900 locations across the US, in all 50 states and Washington DC. You can also find them in over 100 countries. Their headquarters are in Parsippany, NJ
