Carter’s was founded by William Carter in 1865 in Needham, MA. The company was owned by the family until 1990. They have also created exclusive lines for Walmart, Amazon, and Target. As of 2019, Carter’s has over 1,060 stores and outlets. Oshkosh B’gosh was founded in OshKosh, Wisconsin, in 1895. They were initially a small-town manufacturer of adult work clothing and have been known for their bibbed overalls. OshKosh was sold to Carter’s in 2005, and is now a subsidiary of that company. They no longer sell clothing in adult sizes. Oshkosh B’gosh has 300 stores in the US. Their headquarters is in Atlanta, GA.
