National Parks

On Veterans Day, all visitors to national parks can enter for free to honor veterans. There are more than 400 parks, some of which normally charge a fee, while others are always free. This does not cover amenities or user fees, such as for camping or special tours.

Amusement Parks with Military Discounts, Veterans Day Discounts

Carowinds

Carowinds, a family amusement park in Charlotte, NC, offers military discounts when verifying with ID.me. These discounts are valid on Veterans Day or at any other time of the year. You can purchase up to six tickets for family or friends for $34 each. If you purchase the 2026 Military Gold Pass for only $7 a month, it offers unlimited visits to all Six Flags parks.

Legoland Florida

LEGOLAND Florida (and LEGOLAND New York) are offering free admission to military members through November 30, 2025.  Along with the free ticket offer, family and friends can receive 50% off guest tickets during the same period. All tickets must be purchased in advance either through ID.me or at a local Military Ticket Office.

Legoland California

LEGOLAND California Resort offers special ticket discounts to active-duty service members, veterans, and their families. Military guests can enjoy savings on both single- and multi-day admissions throughout the year.

A one-day LEGOLAND ticket gives you full access to the park at up to 10% off the regular price. If you’re planning a longer visit, the resort’s two-day Hopper options let you visit twice for the price of one, as long as your second visit happens within 90 days of the first.

The 2-Day SEA LIFE Hopper includes admission to both LEGOLAND California and SEA LIFE Aquarium, while the 2-Day Resort Hopper adds entry to the LEGOLAND Water Park. For the best rates, LEGOLAND recommends purchasing your tickets directly through your local military base ticket office.

Knott’s Berry Farm

At Knott’s Berry Farm in Buena Park, CA, you can enjoy  Military Tribute Days at this family amusement park. For 2025, Tribute Days run from Monday through Thursday, November 3 through 20, and December 1 through 18.

During Tribute Days, Active, Retired, and Veteran U.S. Military Personnel may receive discounted admission of $25 per ticket to Knott’s Berry Farm for 5 guests. Purchase online or in person. You can also save more by purchasing Knott’s Berry Farm tickets at your nearest military base’s Military Ticket Office or MWR equivalent.

During non-Tribute Days, servicemembers still get a military discount—you can buy tickets for $57 for up to 6 tickets.

Zoos with Military Discounts, Discounts for Veterans Day

Point Defiance Zoo and Aquarium

Point Defiance Zoo and Aquarium in Tacoma, WA, offers veterans and active-duty military members free admission, as well as half-price tickets for their families from November 8 through 11, 2025, from 9:00 am to 3:30 pm.

Zoo Atlanta

All active-duty, reserve, veteran, and retired members of the U.S. Armed Forces receive free admission with a valid ID presented at the admissions gate. Regular admission rates apply to accompanying family members and other guests. No advance reservation is required for military admission.

Sedgwick County Zoo

Sedgwick County Zoo, in Wichita, KS, has offered free admission to active duty personnel and veterans, as well as their immediate families, on Veterans Day, November 11, in the past. Families of deployed service members can also take advantage of the deal with a valid military ID.

San Antonio Zoo

Throughout November 2025, the San Antonio Zoo is offering complimentary admission to active-duty, retired, and veteran members of the U.S. military, including those in the National Guard and reserves. Up to four immediate family members can also enjoy 50% off Any Day Tickets on the same date of visit. A valid military ID is required.

Zoo New England, Franklin Park Zoo, and Stone Zoo

At Zoo New England, veterans can receive free admission at both the Franklin Park Zoo location in Boston, MA, and the Stone Zoo in Stoneham, MA, on November 11th. You must show your military ID at purchase time.

Nashville Zoo

At the Nashville Zoo in Nashville, TN, the Nashville Zoo hosts Military Appreciation Day on Sunday, November 9, 2025. Active duty, veterans, and their immediate families will receive free admission. Show your military ID or other proof of service.

Brevard Zoo

At the Brevard Zoo in Melbourne, FL, current military members, veterans, and their spouses or dependents receive $5 off onsite admission. Proof of military service is required.

Aquariums

Newport Aquarium

Newport Aquarium and Humana would like to thank the men and women who have served or are currently serving our country by offering FREE admission during Military Appreciation Week, November 9 through 14, 2025. Military and veteran family members can save $5 on admission. Additionally, all military personnel are eligible to receive a complimentary appreciation gift. Verify your military status with ID.me to secure your discounted tickets online. A valid Military ID must be presented with your tickets at the time of entry.

Aquarium of the Pacific

The Aquarium of the Pacific in Long Beach, CA, offers free admission to active military personnel and veterans on Veterans Day 2025, from 9 am to 6 pm. Reserve tickets online. Friends and family can also buy tickets at your local MWR/ITT office.

Mystic Aquarium

At the Mystic Aquarium in Mystic, CT, military veterans and active-duty military personnel receive complimentary general admission throughout the year. Tickets need to be reserved in advance.
