Cabela’s is an American direct marketer and specialty retailer of outdoor recreation merchandise. They are a Bass Pro Shops subsidiary based in Sidney, Nebraska. Cabela’s offers 10% off qualifying purchases in-store and online.
What Is the Cabela’s Military Discount?
Cabela’s offers a 10% discount on most items, every day, year-round, in-store and online. The discount is for 5% off firearms and ammo.
The discount is not valid on boats, trailers, and other vehicles, alcohol, gift cards, or non-merchandise services.
Which Military Statuses Are Eligible for the Discount?
In order to be eligible, your military status must be one of the following:
- Active duty military
- Veterans
- Retirees
- National Guard
- Reserve members
The discount is also available to Wildlife Agents, Law Enforcement, and Firefighters.
How Do You Get The Discount?
If you visit one of their retail stores, in order to receive the discount, you must show:
- Your military ID
- A state-issued ID with veteran status, or
- Your DD214
You can also call for a discount as well.
To receive the discount online, you must be verified. Their verification process is simple, using SheerID as their verification partner.
Can You Use The Discount Online?
Yes, this discount is available to you online as well. You will need to be verified with SheerID to use the discount online.
Can I use the military discount in addition to other sales and promotions?
The discount can be used in addition to other discounts, sales, and promotions.
Does Cabela’s price match?
Yes, Cabela’s will match prices. In fact, if you’re a Club Card member, they’ll beat the competitor’s price by 5%. Ask for information at checkout. You may even be able to stack your military discount on top of the Cabela’s price match. Make sure to ask!
Some restrictions may apply. The items must match identically, and they cannot be out of stock at the other store. You may have to ask a manager in order for it to be honored.
