Some amusement parks offer free days for the military during certain days of the year, such as the 4th of July. However, visiting on those days doesn’t always work out. Luckily, you can find many amusement parks with military discounts every day of the year. Here are some of the biggest:

Busch Gardens

Busch Gardens in Tampa Bay, Florida, offers military families year-round perks through its Waves of Honor program. Active-duty service members can score one free admission per year for themselves and up to three dependents.

Carowinds

Carowinds is a 407-acre amusement park in Charlotte, NC, owned by Cedar Fair, which opened in 1973. After verifying their military status, eligible guests, including active-duty personnel, retirees, and veterans, can purchase discounted single-day tickets online. These savings typically extend to up to six tickets.

During certain times of year, like Memorial Day weekend, Carowinds often offers free admission to active and retired military personnel, along with discounted companion tickets. Those looking to stay overnight can also use military savings at Camp Wilderness, Carowinds’ on-site campground, with 10 percent  off select stays.

And for those planning multiple visits, the park offers a Military and First Responder Gold Pass, which includes unlimited access throughout the season, parking, and discounts on food and merchandise. Offers can vary by year, so be sure to check ID.me  for current details.

Cedar Point 

Cedar Point is a 364-acre park in Sandusky, OH, that opened in 1870. It is the second oldest amusement park in North America. The park offers free and discounted tickets for military members and retirees. You can also purchase up to six tickets for your family and friends. Disneyland and Walt Disney World

Both Disneyland in Anaheim, CA, and Walt Disney World in Orlando, FL offer Disney Military Promotional Park Hopper Tickets. You can get 3 or 4 days at Disneyland or 4 or 5 days at Walt Disney World. At both Disneyland and Walt Disney World, you can find rides, entertainment, and a magical themed experience. Dollywood

Dollywood is located in Pigeon Forge, TN near Gatlinburg and owned by Herschend Family Entertainment and Dolly Parton. The park offers amusement park thrill rides, traditional crafts, food, and music. You can get special military tickets, between 1-3 days. Check for the latest discounts via ID.me.

Hershey Park

Hershey Park is a 121-acre amusement park located in Hershey, PA. It was opened in 1906 as a leisure park for the employees of the Hershey Chocolate Company.. According to ID.me, there are no current military discounts, but they may be offered on a seasonal basis, so make sure to check back!

Holiday World and Splashin’ Safari

Holiday World is located in Santa Claus, IN, and opened in 1946 as Santa Claus Land. The 125-acre park features rides, live entertainment, and holiday-themed games.

Eligible individuals can purchase up to ten discounted daily tickets online through the park’s Pick Your Price Calendar, which provides varying discounts based on the selected date with verification.

Additionally, military personnel can obtain discounted Season Passes, granting unlimited visits throughout the season. Check ID.me for the latest discounts. At the park, military discounts are available by presenting an official ID at the ticket booth.

Knotts Berry Farm

Opened in 1940, Knotts Berry Farm is located in Buena Park, California, fairly close to Disneyland. It offers discounted single-day admission tickets to active and retired U.S. military personnel, veterans, first responders, and their immediate family members through ID.me.

Additionally, Knott’s Berry Farm hosts special Military Tribute Days, where eligible individuals can receive discounted admission during specific dates. Details about these events can be found on the park’s website .

For those planning an overnight stay, Knott’s Hotel provides up to 15 percent off select dates for military guests with valid ID at check-in.

Sea World

You can find SeaWorld in Orlando, San Antonio, and San Diego. These locations participate in the Waves of Honor program, four free tickets per service member each year, one for the service member and three for direct dependents. They also offer discount tickets to veterans. Within the Waves of Honor program, you can also get free or discounted tickets to Busch Gardens, Sesame Place, Aquatica, and Discovery Cove.

Six Flags

There are 27 Six Flags properties across the US, Canada, and Mexico. Six Flags Magic Mountain, Six Flags Fiesta Texas, and Six Flags Great Adventure are some of the biggest of the parks. Most of them do have some type of everyday military discount. Just make sure you check on that particular Six Flags website before you plan your visit.

Universal Studios

There is a Universal Studios in Orlando and another one in Hollywood, and both offer discounted tickets to military members. Universal Studios Hollywood provides online-only discounted tickets for active-duty, National Guard, Reservists, and eligible veterans (along with their spouses and dependents). You’ll head over to their ticketing site and purchase in advance to grab the deal.

Active-duty, reserve, National Guard, and retired military members (including veterans in some cases) can score discounted multi-day park tickets for all three parks at Universal Studios Orlando, including Universal Epic Universe, from their Military Ticket and Travel Office.
