About ABT
ABT was founded in 1936 when Jewel Abt gave money to her husband to start a business. They originally called it Abt Radio and only sold small electronics. The original location was in a small storefront in Chicago. They have expanded over the years and in 1997, Abt.com was launched. In 2008, they opened a 10,000 sq.ft. recycling center. In 2021, they were voted one of Consumer Reports, Best Place to Buy Small Appliances. Their headquarters are in Glenview, IL.
