Veterans Day is a day to honor all who have served in the military. There are also quite a few restaurants, stores, and other fun attractions that offer some Veterans Day discount, whether it is a complimentary ticket, food item, or a percentage off of your total bill.
All discounts and promotions require showing military ID or proof of service.

Starbucks
Receive a free tall (12-oz) brewed coffee (hot or iced) on Veterans Day. This offer is for veterans, active duty, and military spouses.

Restaurants with Military Discounts on Veterans Day
54th Street
54th Street is a casual, neighborhood bar and grill. Qualifying veterans and active duty may receive a military discount when showing ID at checkout time. Use the code THANKS10 when ordering with a mobile delivery service.
Applebee’s Grill and Bar
Applebee’s, a family restaurant, offers a special discount on Veterans Day, November 11th. Veterans and active duty military can receive a meal, not including beverages and gratuity when showing ID in person.
BJ’s Restaurant and Brewhouse
Dine-in only. Receive a free Chocolate Chunk Pizookie with minimum purchase. Limitations apply.
Bob Evans
On November 11th, Bob Evans, an American chain of restaurants, offer a special menu to veterans.
Chili’s Grill & Bar
All veterans and active duty can get a free, dine-in meal from a special menu on Nov. 11 at all participating locations.
Cracker Barrel
Cracker Barrel offers discounts on select desserts and military-themed merchandise for in-store purchase on Veterans Day.
Dunkin Donuts
On Nov. 11, veterans and active duty have traditionally enjoyed a free donut from Dunkin, no purchase necessary. Check your nearest DD location to see if they participate.
Famous Dave’s BBQ Restaurant
At Famous Dave’s BBQ Restaurant, military communities have traditionally been offered free meals and other perks from Famous Dave’s on Veterans Day.
Huddle House
Huddle House is a casual restaurant offering all-day breakfast. For Veterans Day, a traditional offer (in past years this was a free MVP breakfast platter) of free breakfast has been a Veterans Day feature at Huddle House. Contact your nearest location to see if they participate.
IHOP
Free Red, White, and Blue pancakes. Veterans, active duty, and reservists are invited with family and friends to make-to-order breakfast on Nov. 11, which includes a free pancake offer.
Logan’s Roadhouse
On Nov. 11, all active duty and retired U.S. military personnel are invited to enjoy a free meal from the American Roadhouse menu. This offer is available nationwide during specific hours, typically 11-3PM, though some locations may have different hours.
McCormick and Schmick’s
At McCormick and Schmick’s, an American seafood restaurant, you can get a special Veterans Day discount on the Sunday before veterans day with half-priced entrees on a special menu.
Mimi’s Cafe
Mimi’s Cafe is a casual restaurant serving French and American food. On Veterans Day, veterans and active duty have traditionally been offered a free or discounted entree from a limited menu with a beverage purchase.

Attractions with Veterans Day Discounts
The Nashville Zoo
The Nashville Zoo, in Nashville, TN, is working together with Regions Bank to offer free admission to active duty military, veterans, and their immediate families on Sunday, November 12th. They normally offer a 47-50% military discount. The parking fee still applies.
Oregon Zoo
The Oregon Zoo in Portland, OR, offers free admission for military veterans and active military personnel as well as their family members who accompany them to the zoo on November 10th and 11th. They can also receive 10% off at the zoo store and zoo outlets.
Cincinnati Zoo
At the Cincinnati Zoo in Cincinnati, OH, they are offering free admission to all members of the military on Memorial Day, the 4th of July, and Veterans Day. This offer is for active duty, retired military, National Guard, veterans, and ROTC. You can also purchase up to six half-price admission tickets for immediate family.
Aquarium of the Pacific
At the Aquarium of the Pacific, in Long Beach, CA, they offer free admission to veterans and military personnel on November 11th, 9 am to 6 pm.
National Parks
On Veterans Day, all visitors can visit National Parks for free as a way to remember veterans. There are more than 400 parks; some typically charge a fee, and others are free all of the time. This does not cover amenities or user fees such as camping or special tours. You must double-check to see if the National Park you want to visit is open during this time.
Colonial Williamsburg
Colonial Williamsburg, a living history museum in Williamsburg, VA, is offering active duty, reservists, national guard, retired military, and veterans complimentary admission once annually for themselves and up to three direct dependents on Memorial Day and Veterans Day weekend. They also have a standard military discount.

Oct. 22 – Nov. 12, military and first responders receive 10% off.
Great Clips
Veterans and active duty can visit a U.S. location on Nov. 11 to receive a free haircut that day or the free haircut card to use later.
Exchange
Military STAR Card holders shopping the Exchange can find a variety of special Veterans Day discounts and deals until the end of Veterans Day.
Office Depot / Office Max
NOTE: Please call ahead to make sure that they are offering this discount again in 2023.
From Nov. 11-13, all veterans, active duty, reservists, and dependents may find deals up to 25% off qualifying purchases—only valid in-store. Call ahead to make sure your local Office Depot or Office Max is participating.
