About Fuddruckers

Philip J. Romano started the chain because he thought the world needed a better hamburger. He wanted to offer larger hamburgers where the meat was ground on-site and buns were baked on the premises. The hamburgers and other dishes were served with lots of fresh veggies and vats of cheese sauce.

By 1988, there were 150 restaurants, which the majority of were individual franchises. Some are company-owned. They are located in Canada, Mexico, Panama, and Puerto Rico as well as 30 US states.
