About Timberland
Timberland was founded in 1952 when Nathan Swartz bought half of the Abington Shoe Company. Three years later he bought the rest of the shares. The name was changed to the Timberland Company due to the popularity of their outdoors waterproof yellow boots. You can now find Timberland Dealer locations in 22 states and their headquarters is in Stratham, NH
